Terry L. Barger received his Bachelor's degree at the University of Colorado and his MBA from Pepperdine University. Terry spent nine years as a Marine Corps pilot leaving with the rank of Major and later worked for Nissan Motor Corporation as a District Sales Manager. His career in real estate began at LaSalle Partners, a nationally recognized and prestigious asset management firm, as a General Manager responsible for the asset management (operations and leasing) of several high-rise office buildings in Southern California. From this experience, Terry gained valuable insight into how landlords escalate building costs and observed the general lack of specialized lease auditing expertise available to tenants. He founded CyberLease in 1990 to meet this need. Terry instructs seminars for such organizations as various local Building Owners and Managers Associations (BOMA) as well as Building Owners and Managers Association International, Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), International Facility Managers Associations (IFMA), Corporate Real Estate Network (CORENET), Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) for the Bar Association and Department of Real Estate (DRE) credit for continuing education of real estate professionals in California, Texas, North and South Carolina. Terry has been published in Journal of Property Management and Office & Industrial Properties on the subject of operating expenses. Terry also helped in drafting the operating costs section for the book entitled Negotiating and Drafting Office Leases by John Wood and Alan Di Sciullo published by Lay Journal Seminars Press. Because of Terry's background and experience, Terry is frequently called to be an expert witness.
